Those who can’t do… fake it

July 27, 2009

Ok, so I have no actual news to report.  No new investigations or anything exciting like that.  But I still want to put posts up so I’m going to delve into seldom-charted territory.  I’ll just share something that I personally found entertaining.  I know that we get our weekly infusion of WoW comics and WoWInsider makes sure we don’t miss any bit of news that’s even mildly relevant to WoW. Even so, just happened across this on Wired and thought I’d share:

Sam Raimi’s Warcraft Movie Production Diary

Enjoy!

Patch 3.2 info trickles out…

June 19, 2009

Some of you may have noticed over the past few days that Profession changes have started to make their way into the  official patch notes.  There’s a lot of great stuff to digest there, but the one that I’m the most excited about is this:

Are Craftables Back?

June 2, 2009

For the last couple of months I’ve been working on my hunter and warrior alts.  My hunter just reached 80 about ten days ago, and since then I’ve been gearing her up a bit.  Of course I started with crafting her some goodies as well as scoping the auction for BOE gear.  I’ve also been going back to Kaliope’s feral gear and looking for ways to beef her up – she’s still wearing some 70 epics from last year.  Ugh, I’m soooo last year!!

During my recent hiatus I’ve been trying to get our recipe mod updated with all the newest recipes and latest changes.  Finally this morning we’ve posted our newest copy of TradeTrak, complete with 99.99% of new recipes from patch 3.1.  For those of you using our add-on, you can download a new copy from Curse or WowInterface.

Please let us know if you have any problems with it!

Kaliope’s Guide to Noblegarden

April 25, 2009

Tomorrow kicks off the newly revamped Noblegarden and I’m very excited about this event being expanded in Patch 3.1.  I’ve always liked this holiday but thought the content for it was pretty skimpy.  So when it went up on the test servers, I made a point to check it out.

Master Angler Swag!

April 5, 2009

Hubby and I have been working the past few days on a new project.  We wanted to take another stab at the online store, but we really didn’t want to do the typical thing of plopping our site name on a shirt and hoping you good folks would pay money to give us free advertising… so we wracked our brains until we thought of something more interesting.

Our WotLK Wish List

May 19, 2008

As I said in my previous post, my theme for the next week or so will be Wrath of the Lich King. People are thinking alot about it these days, what with the furor of 2.4 dying down and the realization that there will be nothing new to do until the expansion hits the shelves. Unfortunately, this dead zone is also coinciding with the summer months, when more players tend to drift away to greener pastures (and greener lawns, heh). I hear lots of talk about taking breaks for awhile, so perhaps there’s also some burnout setting in.

Shattered Sun: What Does it Mean?

May 16, 2008

My next few posts are going to be focused on a recurring theme: the upcoming expansion. Personally, I don’t think we’re going to see a release until the end of the year, possibly even January next year. That’s because they just recently went to Alpha, so I would estimate Beta starting in Aug/Sept and release following 3-5 months after that. Nonetheless, I find myself thinking about Lich King quite a bit because it’s looming on the horizon. It doesn’t help that they released a slew of new tidbits this past week and I’m sure we’ll see more as we get closer to the Beta.
