Other craftables in Patch 3.2

I wasn’t able to find enough data for some of the other tradeskills on the 3.2 Test Realm, so I’m just going to combine this information into one post.  Here are some screenshots I took of new recipes in Leatherworking, Inscription and Engineering, plus a couple of items for Alchemy and Jewelcrafting:

My Alchemist made it to the Test Realm yesterday, so I was finally able to check out the Cardinal Ruby quest in Alchemy:

Cardinal Ruby Quest for Alchemy (Patch 3.2)

Just an FYI for those who may not have capped Alchemy – you must be max skill to do this quest AND learn the epic gem transmutes.  My borrowed Alchemist was only 443 when she arrived and she was unable to learn the new gem transmutes from the trainer.  She was also unable to access the Cardinal Ruby quest.  As soon as I dinged her up to 450 skill, the quest unlocked.  I’m sure this isn’t an issue for most folks.  But if you’re planning to grab these recipes on an Alchemy alt – they need to be capped.

And we had a reader request for the information on the Epic Gems for Honor Points from the PVP Vendor:

I have to say I’m really quite tickled that Blizzard has provided multiple ways to get epic gems.  Not only will we have two different ways to craft them, we’ll also have two different ways to buy them.  This should make the gems fairly accessible to crafters and customers who want to buy their own and pay a cutting fee.  It almost makes me wonder if Blizzard isn’t hoping to nudge even casuals to get epic gems into their epic gear ;)

So how many Eyes of Zul does it take?

  2. Scrübby Says:

My brother has mentioned to me that alot of new craftable epic items have been added or mentioned to him by others. I have a 445+ Leatherworker and Blacksmith so I’m anxious to see what Blizz has coming for us. I’ve been stopping by daily just to see if you’ve seen anything yet so I was happy to see this post. Thanks =)

A big question I have is with the epic gem transmute; whether alchemy continues Blizzard’s one-per-epoch cooldown or whether it continues to not have a cooldown. If you happen to notice this change, we would appreciate a heads up.

  4. Solidstate Says:

@Hagu, if the Alchemy epic gem transmutes don’t have a CD it will be a real big boost to transmute masters.

  5. Diabolos Says:

Can anyone think of a situation where the Goblin Beam Welder would be useful? Maybe using it on the vehicles during the Flame Leviathan fight in Ulduar?

    Dave: Three Eye of Zul

Scrubby: I’ll be keeping an eye on all profession changes – the new LW/BS/TL recipes look like raid drops to me. That could take a while to verify but I’ll do what I can.

Hagu: I will absolutely let you all know if the transmute CD changes. I have a capable Alchemist available now, so I should be able to keep my eye on it :)

Diabolos: I’m going to try and get a small group going on the PTR for the Coliseum content. I’ll bring up a quick UD test for the welder beam and see if folks are game. I’ll also keep an eye on the EJ forums in case someone else beats me to it!

  7. Scrübby Says:

Thanks Ms K =) Enjoy the vacation, I envy you lol. I was thinking raid drops by the looks of the stats and items levels as they were listed.
