Tailoring Guide Updated

July 5, 2008

Just a quick FYI to let you all know that I updated our Tailoring Guide with new Burning Crusade information.  I finally bit the bullet and took up Tailoring on one of my toons - with WotLK coming down the pike I want to have all tradeskills covered.  The upside is that Tailoring is fairly easy to level, which I’m sure is why I haven’t had any complaints about our outdated Tailoring guide.

My first Premade on the Test Realm

June 30, 2008

It’s been awhile since they offered premade characters on the PTR, and I personally have never indulged.  Since I’m generally there to test crafting items and occasionally noodle with class changes, I just copy my own characters.  This time everyone was making such a huge fuss over getting premades, I thought I’d do it just out of curiousity.

Blizz-ume for Kaliope of Llane

June 11, 2008

Since making her way into Azeroth, Kaliope has made a point of exploring and mastering all professions in the World of Warcraft. She has achieved a rank of Master Chef and Head Nurse on four avatars and Master Angler on one avatar. She has juggled her fully grown avatars to cover all but one primary profession: Tailoring. However, she does have an adolescent avatar who is an Artisan Tailor. Kaliope of Llane has 78 days, 8 hours, 31 minutes of experience in the World of Warcraft and with her sisters: Krystella, Korlyn and Kayree they have a total of 206 days, 5 hours, 52 minutes of combined experience.

The Campaign Begins…

June 9, 2008

You may or may not have noticed that I changed my tagline on the blog. From now on I will do whatever cheap, shameless stunt I can think of, WHATEVER IT TAKES to get a beta key. I know we haven’t even had a beta announcement, but in order to succeed you have to be ahead of the curve and MAKE THINGS HAPPEN. So my campaign begins NOW, in the hopes that someone will take pity on me before the gates of opportunity are closed forever.

And now for something completely different…

May 27, 2008

Hi Friend,

I know you are a huge fan of WoW and you will do whatever you have to do to be UB3R 1337 H4X0RZ , so I am letting you in on a secret. Before you get suspicious, this doesn’t involve gold-farming, powerleveling services or anything that costs you money. (more…)

Our WotLK Wish List

May 19, 2008

As I said in my previous post, my theme for the next week or so will be Wrath of the Lich King. People are thinking alot about it these days, what with the furor of 2.4 dying down and the realization that there will be nothing new to do until the expansion hits the shelves. Unfortunately, this dead zone is also coinciding with the summer months, when more players tend to drift away to greener pastures (and greener lawns, heh). I hear lots of talk about taking breaks for awhile, so perhaps there’s also some burnout setting in.

Shattered Sun: What Does it Mean?

May 16, 2008

My next few posts are going to be focused on a recurring theme: the upcoming expansion. Personally, I don’t think we’re going to see a release until the end of the year, possibly even January next year. That’s because they just recently went to Alpha, so I would estimate Beta starting in Aug/Sept and release following 3-5 months after that. Nonetheless, I find myself thinking about Lich King quite a bit because it’s looming on the horizon. It doesn’t help that they released a slew of new tidbits this past week and I’m sure we’ll see more as we get closer to the Beta.

Craptop City, Party of One

May 14, 2008

Tonight as I write, I’m using my infamous craptop (infamous to friends and guildmates at least). On Saturday night my regular PC blew it’s second power supply in three months. I was actually talking on Vent to my buddy Squorg about my computer woes when a burning smell drifted to my nostrils. Thinking someone was mercilessly torching some unsuspecting food item in the kitchen, I continued my conversation with no thoughts of investigating. A few minutes later my screen went black as the burning smell started to take on a decidedly plastic-infused odor. Needless to say, this story does not have a happy ending.
